Active Bystander
We all have a responsibility to look out for one another, regardless of if the other person is family or not. Whether it’s giving someone a safe ride home from a party or directly confronting a person with threatening behavior.
An active bystander is someone who not only witnesses a situation, but also takes steps to prevent the situation from either happening or escalating.

- Be aware of your surroundings
- Recognize that someone is in danger and needs help
- Confront the situation

- Intervene safely
